Try the outline on your wall
On a clear wall that is 180 cm wide, a centered L map leaves 15 cm at each side. An XL would extend past the available width. Mark the corners of the proposed size with a wall-safe method and step back to your usual viewing position. If it hangs above furniture, check the gap above the furniture as well as the sides.
Decide which details matter
Compare options with country names and borders against blank versions if you prefer a simpler look. If you want to mark trips with pins, check whether the exact style has pre-drilled holes.
