FeiyuTech SCORP Mini 2 vs. SCORP 3

The SCORP Mini 2 is the lighter choice for compatible phones, action cameras and small camera rigs. The SCORP 3 provides more payload for heavier camera setups. Start with your actual filming setup before comparing the two.

Payload and carrying weight

ModelRated payload when balancedGimbal weight, approximately
SCORP Mini 21.2 kg852 g
SCORP 33.5 kg1.37 kg

These are manufacturer specifications. Gimbal weights exclude some accessories. See the Mini 2 specs and SCORP 3 specs.

Weigh the rig the way you shoot

Put the camera on a scale with the lens, battery, filter, and any cage or accessories that will move with it. A 1.05 kg setup plus a 200 g accessory reaches 1.25 kg, above the Mini 2’s listed payload. Even below the limit, check that the camera can balance and that its lens, screen, and cables clear the arms through the range of motion you need.

Check fit and controls before buying

For a phone, check the clamp’s supported dimensions with your case fitted or plan to remove the case. For a camera, check the exact body and lens, and look up whether your intended controls work over cable or Bluetooth. A rig can fit physically while its record or focus controls require a different connection. See the SCORP 3 compatibility lists.
